4-H Club

Students in grades 4-8 can participate in 4-H. Monthly meetings are conducted. Students have the opportunity to participate in craft projects and demonstrations, our county fair, and The Clover Bowl.

 

Accelerated Reading

With the A.R. program, students read books and earn points by taking computerized tests. Students can join A.R. Point Clubs after earning at least 10 points (East Wing) or 25 points (West Wing).

A-Team Drawings

The A-Team is comprised of students who earned all As and perfect attendance during the nine weeks period. Students participate in a prize drawing each nine weeks.

Beta Club

The Fairview Junior Beta Club is available to students in sixth-eighth grades. Students who obtain a B average and show outstanding character are invited to join the Beta Club. Eighth grade Beta members have the opportunity to tour Washington D.C. in May. Mrs. Gretchen Newman and Mrs. Annie Gislason are the Beta Club sponsors.

 

Library Club

The Library Club is comprised of students in eighth grade. These students have the opportunity to work in the library each month. Students check-in/out books or assist younger students in finding books.

 

Music Festival

The Fairview Music Festival is held each May. Students in each class perform songs and dances for parents, grandparents, and other members of the community.

 

Flag Team

The Rebel Flag Team was formed in 2003-2004. The Flag Team entertains the crowd during halftime of our football games.  

                                                  

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is held each October. Each day of this week gives the students an opportunity to learn more about the dangers of drug and alcohol use.

Rebel Pride Newspaper

The Rebel Pride News is our school newspaper. Students in 7th and 8th grade can apply for positions with the newspaper.

Science Fair

The Science Fair is sponsored by Mrs. Patty West. Students in all grades can participate, and it is held in March.

 

Student Council

Student Council members are selected by the fifth through eighth grade students. The council voices students’ concerns to our principal.

 

Scholar’s Bowl

The Fairview Scholars’ Bowl is comprised of seventh and eighth grade students. The team competes with the other middle schools in Scott County and meets are held each month. The Scholars’ Bowl sponsor is Mrs. Debbie Carver.

 

Builder’s Club

The Builder’s Club is a service organization created through the Kiwanis Club. The club sponsor is Mrs. Kim Hammock.
